For Cooperation in Scientific, Research, and Training Fields:
Cooperation Protocol Between Benha University and the National Research Center
Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Dr. Mamdouh Moawad, President of the National Research Center, signed a cooperation protocol between the two sides in various scientific, research, and training fields.
This took place in the presence of Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ayman El-Shahaby, former Governor of Damietta; Dr. Amani Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Mohamed Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Dr. Zeinab Faisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in Benha; Dr. El-Sayed Khater, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Dr. Sahar Abdel Rahman, Director of the University Center for Career Development; and a number of deans from the National Research Center.
Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that this cooperation protocol comes within the framework of Benha University’s commitment to collaborating with all civil society institutions to provide job opportunities and training for distinguished students and graduates of Benha University, as well as for faculty members, with the aim of supporting the educational process and participating in scientific and applied research and activities, especially in fields that represent strategic priorities for the state.
El-Gizawy pointed out that the areas of cooperation include all scientific and applied fields of mutual interest. These include joint research and projects that enable access to local and international funding, technology transfer activities between the university and the center on one side and industry on the other, exchange of students, scientists, and experts, joint and mutual supervision of Master’s and PhD theses, as well as education and training at various academic levels, conferences, workshops, and the organization of seminars and scientific sessions.
For his part, Dr. Mamdouh Moawad expressed his pleasure with the cooperation with Benha University, noting that the areas of collaboration also include organizing training courses at the center for undergraduate students in rare specializations, as well as providing access to the center’s scientific library and making books, periodicals, and theses available to all students.
