Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Organizes a Free Veterinary Convoy in Tahanoub Village, Shebin El-Qanater District 

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Dr. Amany Abbass, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty organized a free veterinary convoy on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Tahanoub Village, Shebin El-Qanater, in cooperation with the Veterinary Directorate of Qalyubia Governorate.

The convoy was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ehab Mostafa El-Nahhas, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and coordinated by Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The event was attended by Dr. Hany Shams, Director of the Veterinary Directorate of Qalyubia Governorate, and carried out in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Kandil, Director of the Faculty’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital, along with the hospital team and staff from the Faculty’s clinical and scientific departments.

The convoy was organized within the framework of the Faculty and University’s commitment to community service and support for livestock owners in the surrounding areas. ??

During the convoy, veterinary teams conducted clinical examinations, medical consultations, and provided free treatment for all examined cases. The services included:

  • 48 cases of cattle and buffaloes ?
  • 39 cases of sheep and goats ?
  • 7 equine cases ?
  • 2 companion animal cases ??
  • Ultrasound examination for 10 additional farm animal cases
  • 929 poultry cases ??
  • 200 rabbit cases ?
  • 3 surgical procedures ?

All medications and treatments were provided free of charge, reflecting the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to promote animal health, support rural communities, and strengthen the role of veterinary services in sustainable agricultural development. ??

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Organizes a Veterinary Convoy to Qarnafil Village, Al-Qanater Al-Khayriya District 

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Dr. Amany Abbass, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty organized a veterinary convoy on Monday, March 2, 2026, to Qarnafil Village, Al-Qanater Al-Khayriya, as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to community service and environmental development.

The convoy was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ehab Mostafa El-Nahhas, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and coordinated by Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of Benha University for Community Service and Environmental Development, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Kandil, Director of the Faculty’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

The activities were carried out with the participation of faculty members and teaching assistants from the clinical departments, as well as veterinarians from the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, in cooperation with the Egyptian Bridge Foundation for Development and Media and the Veterinary Directorate of Qalyubia Governorate. This initiative comes within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the Faculty and these partner institutions, in line with the University and Faculty’s strategic plan to serve the surrounding community. ??

During the convoy, clinical examinations were conducted and medications were provided free of charge for all treated cases. The services included:

  • 63 cases of cattle and buffaloes ?
  • 15 cases of sheep and goats ?
  • 32 equine cases ?
  • Ultrasound examinations for 61 additional farm animal cases
  • 671 poultry cases, including chickens, ducks, and pigeons ??
  • 19 surgical procedures ?
  • 8 microscopic laboratory analyses ?

All necessary treatments and medications were provided free of charge to livestock owners, reflecting the Faculty’s dedication to supporting animal health, assisting farmers, and strengthening community engagement through veterinary outreach programs. ??
