I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Bacteriology, Immunology, and Mycology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Benha University, one of the specialized academic departments that plays a pivotal role in supporting education, scientific research, and community service.
The department is committed to providing distinguished academic education that keeps pace with the latest developments in the fields of bacteriology, immunology, and mycology, while focusing on developing students’ practical and research skills. This equips them to address contemporary challenges in the diagnosis and control of microbial diseases and to support public health and food safety systems.
The department also seeks to promote applied scientific research through conducting advanced studies and research that contribute to finding scientific solutions to veterinary problems, in addition to supporting scientific cooperation with various research institutions locally and internationally.
In line with our social responsibility, the department gives special attention to providing scientific services and consultations, as well as contributing to environmental development and community service, within the framework of the “One Health” concept, which links human, animal, and environmental health.
